PREVIEWS ROUND 3
Manchester United Vs Francas
Coach of Francas Rick Francis is getting himself really pumped for this match against arch rivals Manchester United and is very confident of making it 3 from 3 and the way that they are playing at the moment, I can see why. Star Forward R. Francas kicked 5 goals last week dominating in the hardest position on the ground, Centre Half Forward, and we could see a bit of a shootout in this encounter. But by no means write off Manchester United, after kicking 38 goals last week and destroying San Fransisco they are looking like they are hitting their straps early in the season. Last week Martin Russel (R) had a special game picking up 107 touches and booting 9 goals. It will be great to see these 2 powerhouses of Signature Division slug it out.
My Tip: Francas by 2 goals
The Wolves Vs Barossa
After a shaky start, Barossa now seem to have hit top gear disposing Lucifer in a tough game of footy last weekend. This game will be won in the guts of the ground and with centreman Malcolm Blight picking up 46 touches last round, Barossa are looking good. As for he Wolves, they played good for 3 quarters last week against Francas, but just lost by 11 points which will be good motivation to go the extra step this week. In the vital position of rover brad Stevens continues to rack up a heap of touches every time he throws in The Wolves jumper.
My Tip: Barossa by 24 points
San Fransisco Vs Pines
After retaining the Jason Dunstall cup last week against Dromana, Pines are pumped and ready to go this week against cellar dwellers San Fransisco. No one can seem to work out why there has been such a large drop in the standard of footy from San Fransisco this season, but there is one thing for sure, they definitley have the talent to win a lot of games, it is just the players and coaching staff's attitudes which leave a lot to be desired. If Colin Hayes fires, I can't see anyone in the San Fran defense who can stop him, and that will be the difference.
My Tip: Pines by 54 points
Dromana Vs Faarknn Buutty
Faarknn are on a high after beating the cocky Mainland for the second time in a row and have put behind them the dissapointment of round 1 with their first draft pick Mick Molloy showing his stuff picking up a lot of hard balls in the midfield. Dromana just don't have the firepower up front after just managing 10 goals last week against Pines. I can see the brilliance of Full Forward Damien Lock (R) being a problem for the Dromana defense, Faarknn should win comfortably.
My Tip: Faarknn by 60 points
Lucifer Vs Mainland
Both of these teams are coming off dissapointing losses last round. Lucifer looked good in round 1 knocking off Faarknn in a strong display, but just couldn't match the skill of Barossa in round 2. Mainland were well beaten by a better side lsat week, and can take a lot out of that game to work with in the future. I think this game will be very close where the major factor will be who gets first use of the ball out of the middle. If Lucifer do, the forwards of Longmuir and Dickfos wont be stopped easily.
My Tip: Lucifer by 6 points
